Run through Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories on this exciting route following the easternmost branch of the MTR.

North Point to Po Lam

Starting on Hong Kong Island, warm your legs up on the short jog from North Point to Quarry Bay before taking the MTR or a ferry (details below) to Yau Tong. A steady 150m climb up O King Road will take you into the New Territories at Tiu Keng Leng. Following the waterfront promenade, you’ll pass LOHAS Park station before making the final push to Po Lam through a series of manicured public parks.

Po Lam to North Point

Starting in the New Territories, you’ll run through some public parks before crossing a bridge to do a 3.5km loop to pass LOHAS Park station. Crossing back over the same bridge, enjoy the flat pavement before climbing 150m up stairs and trail to O King Road to enter Kowloon at Yau Tong. Take the MTR or a ferry (details below) to Quarry Bay, and enjoy the final kilometre of the run through city streets to North Point.

Shorter Options

If you would like to avoid the journey across the harbour and the climb up O King hill, start at Tiu Keng Leng station and head towards Po Lam (8km).

Longer Options

From North Point, head west towards Victoria Park, where you can connect with the waterfront paths which continue all the way to Kennedy Town. See the Island Line route for more details.

Crossing the Harbour

Since the Tseung Kwan O Line runs under the harbour, you’ll get a short rest break during your run to take transport. The quickest option, and most in keeping with the MTR theme, is to take the MTR between Quarry Bay (Exit B) and Yau Tong (Exit A2) stations. For more of an adventure, you could take the Sai Wan Ho - Sam Ka Tsuen ferry which runs every 25-30 minutes and costs HK$9 per person. More details here.
