The noise of the city will soon fade away as you begin climbing up Monmouth path behind Pacific Place 3. Enjoy running flat Bowen Road before the calf busting climb up Wan Chai Gap Road. Following the quiet Middle Gap Road and Lady Clementi’s Ride, you’ll soon reach the south side of Hong Kong Island, where you will follow the elevated train tracks all the way to Ap Lei Chau.
From South Horizons, you will run across Ap Lei Chau, one of the most densely populated islands in the world. Crossing the bridge over Aberdeen Harbour, run underneath the elevated train tracks to Ocean Park before starting the climb up and over to the north side of Hong Kong Island. From here, you’ll descend 300m over 3km from the quiet of Wan Chai Gap Park to the hustle and bustle of Admiralty.
This route could be broken down into a road running segment South Horizons - Ocean Park (3.2km) and a hiking/trail run segment Ocean Park - Admiralty (5.8km).
After you reach Admiralty station, consider crossing the elevated pedestrian walkway outside Exit A and entering Tamar Park to continue your run along the waterfront, following the Island Line route.
