An early morning start in Chai Wan will have you arriving in Kennedy Town in time to enjoy a well deserved coffee or breakfast at one of the many trendy cafes in the area.
Starting in Kennedy Town, enjoy the flat waterfront running but make sure to save some energy in your legs for the big climb at the end of the run between Shau Kei Wan and Chai Wan stations.
With less than a kilometre between most stations on the Island Line, it is possible to make this route suit any distance you wish to run. For a quick 5km run, consider starting at Admiralty station (Exit A), cross the elevated footbridge to reach the waterfront, and run the promenade all the way to Kennedy Town.
If you are looking to tack on a few extra kilometres, this route lends itself well to an out-and-back style run. Alternatively you could continue your run past Kennedy Town westwards along Victoria Road, finishing at either Cyberport (5km) or Aberdeen (7.7km), where you can get bus connections back to the MTR.
