Whether you are a Hong Kong local looking for a change from Bowen Road repeats, or a visitor looking to see more of the city, #runtheMTR has a route to suit every runner’s interests and abilities.

Visiting Hong Kong

Hong Kong has an extensive public transportation network which makes it quick and easy to get around the city. Enter your destination in the CityMapper app and it will list your public transportation options. Consider purchasing a stored value Octopus card which can be used to pay the fare on all buses, trains, ferries and trams. Free wifi is easy to find, but if you would like mobile data connection, prepaid SIM cards can be purchased from any 7-Eleven.
